Mary L. Cardello, CPA, CFP®

Mary L. Cardello, CPA, CFP® teaches courses to financial professionals who are preparing to take the CFP® Certification Examination.  Her teaching style emphasizes practical on-the-job training designed to assist the CFP® certificant in developing the know-how to pass the CFP® Examination, thereby improving their service to their clients.  In addition to teaching for major CFP® financial programs and publishing houses, she conducts college level classes for financial-related firms.  Her classroom client list includes Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, US Alliance, Edward Jones, Morgan Stanley, and State Farm.

Mary brings 28 years of financial and business experience to her students.  She has enjoyed 20 of these years in management positions for international and private accounting, tax and consulting firms.  Her education includes a Masters Degree in US Taxation, from the University of Miami, Florida, with an undergraduate degree in business administration. Her financial planning and investment background began with her training at American Express Financial Advisors.  She is licensed in the states of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Minnesota.  She maintains her series 63, 7 and life and health insurance licenses.  In addition to teaching, Mary owns an independent financial planning and tax practice in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
